I stayed at this hotel right at the front close to the main Sterling Highway. The room was very clean and had a nice setup, although there was no air conditioning, which isn't typically a problem in Alaska. Despite that, the room was large and comfortable. The service, especially from the housekeepers, was outstandingly friendly and informative. The location was very convenient to nearby places like a supermarket, Sportsmans Warehouse, McDonalds, Arby's, and Safeway. However, the dining options were limited, and due to a large group of school athletes, there were some issues with availability. The facilities overall were good.

Despite the convenient location near Kenai River and pleasant nature walk, the hotel requires upgrading. On a positive note, it is close to various amenities and offers a nice new breakfast area for special moments.

Rooms

After a day of traveling, the room had cars parking right outside the window and limited bathroom counter space. The room became uncomfortably warm during the day.
Service
7.0
The service at the front desk was friendly and helpful, with the staff being more than willing to accommodate requests. However, there was a mixup regarding bed bugs, which created some initial concern.

The hotel's main strength lies in its location near the water and the Kenai River, offering a nice nature walk. Additionally, it is close to other amenities, including shops and good restaurants.
Dining

The breakfast menu during the Summer months consisted mostly of carbs like bread, bagels, waffles, and cereal. The dining area could improve by offering more variety.

The hotel was hot even with the windows open in the morning. The breakfast was disappointing, and the coffee machine was a mess. However, the staff seemed unaware of some guest incidents, which was concerning.

I was initially surprised by a faint smell of smoke in my supposedly non-smoking room, but upon double-checking my booking, everything seemed in order. The bathroom counter space was quite limited, which made it challenging to set things down. However, the hotel's location was ideal for exploring the surrounding area and getting to various diners easily.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms had a slight smoke smell initially, but it turned out to be a misunderstanding. The limited bathroom counter space was a bit inconvenient.
Service

The service was exceptional, with the staff being very nice and friendly, eager to fulfill any request during our stay. However, there was an unfortunate incident where a staff member appeared less welcoming to children for unknown reasons.

My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. The rooms, while basic in terms of decorating, were clean and comfortable, with the added bonus of a nice big window to open and a fan. The location, despite being close to the main Sterling Highway, offered a quiet atmosphere. The service was helpful and friendly, and the hotel's proximity to a nice nature walk near the water was a definite plus. On the downside, the dining options could use some improvement in terms of variety.

The location was great. Despite being close to the main road, the hotel provided a peaceful environment with little traffic noise. Being in town made it a convenient stopover location on our journey.
Dining

The hotel had all the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay.
