Reviews and Ratings
I stayed at this hotel right at the front close to the main Sterling Highway. The room was very clean and had a nice setup, although there was no air conditioning, which isn't typically a problem in Alaska. Despite that, the room was large and comfortable. The service, especially from the housekeepers, was outstandingly friendly and informative. The location was very convenient to nearby places like a supermarket, Sportsmans Warehouse, McDonalds, Arby's, and Safeway. However, the dining options were limited, and due to a large group of school athletes, there were some issues with availability. The facilities overall were good.
Despite the convenient location near Kenai River and pleasant nature walk, the hotel requires upgrading. On a positive note, it is close to various amenities and offers a nice new breakfast area for special moments.
The hotel was hot even with the windows open in the morning. The breakfast was disappointing, and the coffee machine was a mess. However, the staff seemed unaware of some guest incidents, which was concerning.
I was initially surprised by a faint smell of smoke in my supposedly non-smoking room, but upon double-checking my booking, everything seemed in order. The bathroom counter space was quite limited, which made it challenging to set things down. However, the hotel's location was ideal for exploring the surrounding area and getting to various diners easily.
My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. The rooms, while basic in terms of decorating, were clean and comfortable, with the added bonus of a nice big window to open and a fan. The location, despite being close to the main Sterling Highway, offered a quiet atmosphere. The service was helpful and friendly, and the hotel's proximity to a nice nature walk near the water was a definite plus. On the downside, the dining options could use some improvement in terms of variety.
